Thanks to the Theatre Alberta and their Workshops by Request: Hometown Series workshop funded by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and with support of the Alexander Family, we are pleased to offer another workshop, this time on Acting and Character Analysis.

On March 15, we will be hosting a workshop at Walterdale Theatre on the processes related to acting and character analysis with Patricia Darbasie!

This acting and character analysis workshop focuses on exploring the depth of a character. Through exercises, participants will analyze who their character is, their past, relationships with others, motivations, stakes, and the choices they face. The workshop encourages participants to reflect on these aspects through writing exercises, so bringing a laptop or notebook is recommended.

Join us on March 15 for an Acting and Character Analysis workshop led by actor and director Patricia Darbasie. In this immersive session, Patricia will guide participants through essential techniques for understanding and embodying a character. Attendees will explore key elements like character background, motivations, relationships, and choices. This workshop provides valuable tools for deepening your character work, enhancing your performance, and sharpening your acting skills. Bring a laptop or notebook for writing exercises to fully engage in the process.

Time: 10am – 5pm (with an hour long lunch break, and other breaks taken as needed).
Where: Holy Trinity Anglican Church (10037 84 Avenue)
Cost: free for Walterdale Theatre members, or $25 for non-members.

Timed conveniently, it offers valuable preparation for submitting for Walterdale Theatre’s upcoming projects this season.

Secure your spot for this workshop. This is an opportunity to equip yourself with the essentials and contribute to the future seasons of Walterdale Theatre. See you there.
