Have you ever wanted to try your hand at stage management, acting, directing or even media relations in theatre? Walterdale Theatre has been successfully run by its volunteers for over 60 years, and we can use your help!

To find out more about volunteer opportunities at Walterdale Theatre, please have a look through the Volunteer page. Once you know which area you’re most interested in, please email the Administrator at admin@walterdaletheatre.com and let them know:

  • what you’re interested in
  • what level of experience you have
  • if you’re available to work in other areas such as coffee bar or Front of House.

You’ll then be put on an e-mail list for volunteer opportunities in that area. When an opportunity comes up, make sure you respond! Remember that the people who coordinate our volunteers are volunteers too. As soon as they have the people they need to fill a role, they’ll stop sending notices.

Another way to stay in touch is to sign up for our e-Newsletter, The Bell Tower. We use the Bell Tower to inform everyone about everything going on at the theatre including: upcoming shows, member benefits, auditions, and volunteer opportunities, and more!

Walterdale Theatre acknowledges that our theatre is located on Treaty 6, a traditional territory of the Cree and has been an important trading place of the Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, Dene, Saulteau, and Métis peoples of western Canada for many thousands of years. We also recognize and honour that we are Treaty people and therefore seek to uphold the spirit and intent of this Treaty of Peace and Friendship.
