What brought you out for this show? I have been involved with Walterdale for many years, as an actor mainly, but also helping out with hair and make-up and as a volunteer. I have played many roles on stage through the years (The Threepenny Opera, The Fantasticks) but never a flamboyant gay man. I came out to the auditions because I had gay friends in the 90’s that were dealing with some of the problems that Jeffrey is dealing with and I feel that I might have something to offer to the cast.
What do you think Edmonton audiences will get from Jeffrey? I feel the Edmonton audience should look at this with open eyes and go forward instead of closing their eyes pretending that it didn’t happen. Even in today’s world.
What has been the most enjoyable thing about this production for you? Meeting new friends has been a real pleasure. We have a brand new cast coming to Walterdale in this show. I have know Catherine but all the others are up and coming actors.
What is your biggest challenge? My most challenging part is to do justice to Sterling. I love the character!!
