I also assisted with construction of the set along with the painting, and will be personally installing most of the little details and surprises that help bring this  exciting story to life!
What is your background in theatre? At Walterdale? I’ve been in theatre for as long as a I remember! But I’ve been dabbling in the professional worlds of film, theatre and television for nearly seven years now. Between two cities and countless projects, I’ve tried about everything both on stage and behind the scenes. A lot of my experience comes from my work as a puppeteer and puppet builder, and I currently work full time with my company The Odd-Lot Puppetry Co in St Albert. My first Walterdale experience took place way back in 2010, when I came on board to do props for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. It was an absolutely crazy experience, having (like usual) taken on volunteer work on top of an already full time theatre job, but the cast and crew were so much fun. I found everyone’s spirit and commitment refreshing, uplifting and infectious! I loved every moment of it.
Favorite Film Noir or favorite Film Noir trope? I’m a super fan of the neo-noir format, which I guess you could call “modern” film noirs….The Kill Bill series (1 & 2) are some of my favorite movies of all time, and they employ many of the classic film noir tropes! I think flashbacks are just my favorite writing trope in general…
In the spirit of “And then, the lights went out…” write your best “And then,…” sentence.
“And then…everyone came and saw this show! because it’s a great new work and the cast and crew totally put their all in to it!
